With views of the river, boats, and bridges, the beautiful Riverside International Friendship Gardens, concerts in the bandshell, and more, there is something for everyone to photograph.

A beautiful garden filled with flowers, a pond, and other interesting things to photograph nestled between Riverside Park and the La Crosse River.

Walk the sidewalk on the road that goes right through the marsh and see wildlife on either side.

Myrick Park has a lot to offer with shelters, a huge playground, and the Myrick Park Center but what is of most interest to nature photographers is that it is a gateway to the wetlands and the entire area trail system.

Grandad Bluff is the largest and most well known bluff in the La Crosse area. At the top is a park with a shelter and a scenic overlook. From there you can see not only the city of La Crosse but also Minnesota to the west and Iowa to the south.  There are also hiking trails available.

This little gem is hidden away just outside the city limits of La Crosse in Shelby. It's not very big but it packs two waterfalls, ponds, multiple paved trails, and plenty of greenery to get your nature fix.

Goose Island lies on the Mississippi in the southern part of La Crosse County and Northern part of Vernon County. It has a large park with water access and trails.

Preserved prairie land on Brice Prairie with an overlook of Lake Onalaska. Home to many different flowers, birds, and insects.

The bison are gone but this patch of ancient wild has birds and wildflowers galore.

Overlooking the Mississippi River and right on the migration path, this is a great place to see a variety of birds but is most famous for the Tundra Swans in the fall.

This Coon Valley gem offers nature and history in one pretty package.

Wetlands, prairie, and woods teeming with wildlife all in one drivable and hikable package.

It's a long climb to the top but this park offers a scenic overlook 500 feet above the Mississippi River and 450 acres to explore.
