President's Corner - January, 2010

We have had a couple meetings in the smaller room at Myrick Hixon which is less comfortable. We hope to be back in the main meeting room in February. On the plus side, we have not had to pay the room rental for our “back room” meetings.

The La Crosse Winter Rec Fest is the final camera club activity for January. Our volunteers will shoot all events. This effort helps the La Crosse Park & Rec Department. It also gives members a chance to hone their skills and create some competitive images. We can look forward to a few of these images in coming competitions.

The next couple months bring new opportunities. There is still plenty of outdoor winter activity to photograph. The 1st Saturday in March is the Polar Plunge which is fun to shoot and a great cause to support.
